Your Ripple Study Calendar keeps all of your study's Expected and Scheduled events in one easy to view location. If you would like to view these events on a calendar outside of Ripple, you can create a sharing link for any third-party calendar that supports the iCalendar format. A full list of iCalendar compatible calendars can be found here.
To subscribe to a Ripple Study Calendar, click on the calendar icon in the top right corner of the Calendar tab in your study. This will generate a study-specific URL link that can be copied and pasted into a third-party subscription and sharing tab. The location of where to enter this URL link is dependent on the third-party calendar you are using. See below for third-party specific instructions.
Once your third-party calendar has been subscribed to your Ripple Study Calendar, de-identified Expected and Scheduled events will be populated onto the external calendar from Ripple. Changes made within Ripple will automatically update on your third-party calendar. It is important to note that the frequency of updates is dependent on the third-party calendar's settings, and may not be instantaneous.
By default, calendar naming will follow the format: "Ripple:" + "Study Name" (e.g., a study named "Big Study" would appear as "Ripple: Big Study"). Typically, it takes between 5-10 minutes for the default name to be generated and set within your third-party calendar. Calendar names can be customized by users within the external calendar application.

Important Notes on Sharing your Ripple Study Calendar:
- Subscription to your Ripple calendar is study specific. You must link each Study Calendar individually from Ripple to see all of your studies in your third-party calendar.
- Subscription to your Ripple calendar is one directional. You cannot make changes to your Ripple Study Calendar in the third-party calendar. All changes to Ripple events must be made within the Ripple application. As a reminder, the refresh rate is dependent on which third-party calendar you are using, and may not be instantaneous.
- At this time you cannot choose between Expected and Scheduled events in your iCalendar subscription. All events will be exported. An enhancement to calendar sharing in the future will allow for further customization.
