If you track participants across various events, such as study waves or appointments, you will love Ripple Events! Here you are able to create study events, along with establishing related timing of specific events to other events. For example, you may have an “Intake” event and a “3 Month Follow Up” event. By setting the follow-up event to be 3 months after the intake, Ripple will automatically calculate the date of the follow-up event and send you reminders for when it is time to schedule the follow-up.
To add an event, select "Add Item" from the Edit Events page, within the Study Settings.
Provide the event title, and decide if you would like to make that event relative to any other listed events. Adding "Help Text" will provide users with additional information when hovering over the event name on the "Enrolled Participants" page.
Events are not only for appointment tracking. Events can be used to track benchmarks in the lifecycle of participants, such as whether specific forms have been completed or particular data has been processed.
All events are displayed in the Enrolled Participants Dashboard. The Next Appointment column shows a color-coded, expected date of a participant's next appointment.
Orange: expected appointments
Blue: appointments to be scheduled
Black: completed appointments
Red: appointments that are past due (expected or scheduled date has past and was not updated)
Remember to hover over any of the event names to generate the "Help Text" provided when the event was set-up.
