How to Create Your cURL API Authorization Key

To use an API, you will need to be a Site Admin or have Site Manager access along with access to the study you’re importing data into or exporting data from. To protect your privacy, the API uses an encrypted version of your Ripple username and password to make sure you have the proper permissions.

An Authorization Key is an encrypted string of letters, symbols, and numbers that encode your username and password that you will plug into the API cURL command to prove those permissions.

Protect your Credentials!

Your Authorization Key is unique to your username and password. It can be decoded to reveal your username and password information. Make sure you do not share your Authorization Key with anyone.
